Sao Paulo, April 2 (IANS) Striker Paolo Guerrero struck a hat-trick as Brazilian football club Corinthians beat Uruguay's Danubio 4-0 in a Copa Libertadores group match.
The Peru international striker scored a first half header before adding another two goals from close range after halftime at Arena Corinthians on Wednesday, reports Xinhua.
Earlier Jadson hit the target for the hosts from a set piece that flew into the top corner.
The Brazilian outfit are now six points clear of Group 2 with two matches remaining in the competition's first phase. Danubio are last having yet to win a point.
In Wednesday's other match, defending champions San Lorenzo defeated Sao Paulo 1-0 in Buenos Aires.
