Udupi: Shirva SMC MSW Students Perform Street Play ‘Hennu Jagada Kannu’

Udupi: A street play ‘Hennu Jagada Kannu’ was performed by MSW students at St Mary’s College, Shirva focusing on the rising atrocities on women, at the District Superintendents Office. Annamalai K IPS, District Superintendent of Police, inaugurated the street play.

The play focused on the sexual exploitation and harassment of women today in the society, especially during travel, at work place and at home. The play conveyed the message to put an end to atrocities on women. The play highlighted the issues like domestic violence and also indicated the legal aid available to women on the same.

DySP of Kundapur Manjunath Shetty, DySP of Karkala Vinayak S Nayak, Faculty Coordinator Associate Professor Vignesh and Associate Prof Laxmi, Premananda Kalmady, Police Inspectors, Circle Inspectors and other officials were present.
