Lavina Rego, Mangalore:

Respected Sir, We have an issue with a garbage bin which is placed in front of our house at "Rego Villa" 3rd Cross Road, Lower Bendore, Mangalore 575002.  Due to the bin box not being maintained, my mother has developed asthma and other ailments. Also the birds and dogs carry all the dirt from the bin and mess up our compound. We have informed the same to our corporator Mr.Navin D'souza but he has not paid any heed to our pleas. As I have heard lot of good things from people that you are a peoples person, I request you to kindly take the right action and remove the garbage bin at the earliest. -- Thanking You.

Response:  I have asked MCC to look into the matter to relocate the garbage bin if possible.

Hello sir, My question to you is that the parking in central market area is more than that it can handle. Even the roads are looking to be smaller as we know that its a huge lane, nearly as big as a four-laner. But still due to parking the traffic flow seems to be so slow. Can you please tell me what are the steps you would take in this issue.

Response: A plan has been prepared by the MCC to build a multi-storied market building with multi-layer car parking facility in the central market area.

Dear Sir, There are many illegal structures raised violating all the laws. If we bring this to your notice will you get them acquired or demolished?

Response: Dear Steevan, the district administration will take proper action against violations. Please be specific about such cases.

Dear DC, As a priority we need footpaths work to be completed.  Many of our Senior Citizens and public feel the difficulty in walking.  This will help each and everyone of us.  Thanks for hearing our peoples concern.

Response: Foot path works have been taken up by MCC in phase-II of CM's special fund. Soon you will get good foot paths in the city.

Please look into operating signal lights at Bendoorwell junction as the movement of traffic is chaotic. Also the one part of the road at Bendoorwell is again in disrepair & a lot of dust is kicked up every time vehicles move. I also urge you to strongly move in the direction of introducing KSRTC buses within the city .Enough of these private buses whose drivers are nothing but killers. How many more innocent lives are to be snuffed out before action is taken?

Response: We are verifying the issue of introduction of KSRTC buses in the city and will be taking further action in this regard. DCP traffic has been informed to take necessary action with regard to the signal light problem at Bendoorwell Junction. Please contact him for further information.

Sir, In response to a query from Mr.Steevan, you had stated that you would take action if specific information was provided on illegal structures. I wish to provide the same for your kind action. In TS No. 238/B2, Arya Samaj Road, occupancy certificate was alloted under sec 48A of the KLR act in LRT No 3:112/81-82. Conversion certificate was obatined for residential purpose Vide C.dis LNA 11 CR1 76/84-85. Commencement certificate for commercial building was obtained vide PNMC: CC 175/83-84, Multistored commecial building license vide License No. E2 BA/155/84-85. Bulding is in total violation of all norms and now the car park has also been converted into a sea food resturant. The patrons park their vehicles on Arya Samaj Road and obstruct free flow of traffic into the by lanes on this road. Sir, I hope with this inputs, the corporation authorities will take necessary action.

Sir,
With inaugration of four lane car street road, the four laning has been complete from lady hill upto temple square. I would give a suggestion. If this road is extended upto lady goshen hospital as a four lane road, through central market area, with little land aquisition from lady goshen etc., we will have a nice four lane road from central maidan, via lady goshen where vehicles will turn left and enter car street, and reach lady hill via new chitra talkies and kudroli temple. Hence, buses and other heavy vehicles can be diverted in this road and avoid congestion through jyothi-bunts hopstel-mg road.
kindly look into it, as there is not much land aquisition and the roads is wide in almost the whole stretch except a few areas.
thanks and please reply

Dear Hon. D.C Please have a look on Coastal highway River Bridges Aged & Collapsable Stage

MANGALORE: 53 Year's Old The Pavanje bridge constructed across Nandini river on the National Highway 17 is in a dangerously bad state.
The several cracks which had developed on the bridge much earlier, have widened , giving all indications of the dangers that lay ahead.
Every time a heavy vehicle passes through there is a strong vibration in the bridge, giving rise to fear in the minds of travelers.
But the National Highway Authority of India has preferred to turn a blind eye to the problem. In fact, the condition of this bridge had worsened ever since the overloaded ore lorries began to use this road. & also Manipal-Mangalore Buses Run both direction on OverSpeed,

World Bank Aid for Build Coastal Highway Bridges has Wasted by highway authority,
All Coastal highway bridge Work Must Alloted For TATA Realty & InFraStructure Co.

When The Canara Ties had contacted the executive engineer of the NH Department a month ago, he had then assured to inspect the bridge and do the needful. Soon some steps were taken to seal the cracks with just mud and the rains washed away the soil bringing back the road to its original condition. Riding a vehicle, particularly a two-wheeler is a big challenge on this bridge and whenever the vehicle passes through the
large cracks, fear creeps in our minds, say a regular traveler.
old bridge too has to be repaired as it is this bridge that will be used until the new bridge has Constructed
